The village of Pachyammos is passed on the way to Kato Pyrgos. Kato Pyrgos is opening up now, it sits on the border with Turkish occupied Cyprus. I do not recommend that you visit occupied Cyprus until the problem has been settled and both sides are happy. There is no need to worry, and the occupation will not effect you, unless you get lost and come across a border post. Then you would be turned back by the UN guard. But be aware that there is immense bad feelings between both sides, and if you have a Turkish Cyprus stamp in your passport you find it very difficult to re-enter Greek Cyprus.
