The Mavina aparthotel Holiday complex. I stayed here during my first stay in Malta January and February 2009. My wife had a fall on our stairs at home just before Christmas breaking a bone in her back. It is stable so the hospital released her with a walking stick and a bag full of pain killers. I was concerned that our booking at the Mavina may involve stairs, lifts and long walks forcing us to cancel our holiday. However after sending an e-mail to the hotel followed by a short phone call all our worries were removed. We have been given a ground floor apartment. So a very big thank you to Veronica and Claire, who did not know that I was putting the Mavina on my web site. Their kindness and concern in helping me was given without conditions. A big thank you from John4 and his wife Wynne. I do try to find family run businesses where possible because they offer a personal touch and it still works for me.! Thank you again Veronica and your staff for making our stay a happy one, even though it was Malta's worst winter for over 85 years. Elaine your smile cheered us each morning sitting there in reception, and Claire you are a special person. Keep up your great work helping the cat population in Malta. "Mr Moore indeed" John4 would have been OK.! Please note that the hotel and its apartments have ramps for wheelchair access and the main hotel has lifts to all floors. |
