Welcome to the village people pages. Why.! the village people.?. This is because I live in a village and enjoy the closeness of the community. I hope this web site will grow into a close village community of people with similar feelings but wide and differing interests. I would like to have charities, churches, social clubs, small businesses and individuals all listed here in their own village sub-domains as part of the main site "The Village People". I will provide the space and set things up for any interested people. There are no charges or costs. It was the site of the Hartley mining disaster where 204 men and boys died in 1862 when the beam at the pit head broke, trapping them underground. Read about it elsewhere on this site. |
