This web site is for Scotland, why Scotland? It is because I am part Scot on my Mothers side and have being coming to Scotland since I was three years of age. The family was based around the Oban area of Argyle and I have fond childhood memories of the cottage at the Achnacloich railway halt. Not in use now, but the jetty and old cottages are still there. We stayed with the McColl's my Mothers uncle Angus and auntie Peggy and their children wee Angus, Jenny and Margaret in the station house. Alas! Jenny is the only survivor and she is well into her 70s. Still we visit her every year during one of our grand highland tours.
